Non OEM Part Caused Problems
A customer brought in their Audi A3 for a carbon clean and injector service, reporting severe engine misfires. Upon inspecting the vehicle, we identified several contributing factors. There was heavy carbon buildup on the intake valves, uneven fuel delivery from fouled injectors, and badly worn spark plugs. Additionally, we discovered that an unprofessionally installed aftermarket thermostat housing and water pump were causing coolant leaks.
How we fixed it
To resolve these issues, we replaced the faulty water pump with an original OEM part to eliminate the coolant leaks and ensure reliable operation. The intake ports and valves underwent walnut shell blasting to remove all carbon deposits and restore optimal airflow. The injectors were cleaned ultrasonically, tested for proper fuel flow, and fitted with new seals. The worn spark plugs were replaced with high-quality new ones. Finally, all components were reassembled, and the engine was thoroughly tested.
Successful Repair
After completing the service, a road test confirmed the Audi was running smoothly, with no signs of misfiring. The customer was thrilled to have their car performing like new again, and we were proud to deliver another successful repair.
